About Consignments
While LiveAuctioneers does not accept consignments or provide appraisals, users can submit items to auction houses via our Consignments Database. Consignments come from individuals looking to sell through a trusted auction partner. If an item aligns with your upcoming catalog, you can reach out to the consignor directly to discuss next steps. If you accept, you will privately handle the sale of the item on the consignor's behalf.
There is no charge to access or use the consignment database—it's 100% free with unlimited access.
Viewing Consignments
You can access the Consignments Database by clicking on the Consignments tab from your Seller Dashboard.
All submitted consignments are visible to all LiveAuctioneers partners in the Consignments tab, even if the consignment was submitted directly through a specific auction house's profile.
- You can use your browser’s Find tool (Ctrl+F or Cmd+F) to locate keywords on each page of the Consignment Database.
If you are interested in an item, you can click on the consignor's name to email them, or contact them via the phone number provided in their request.
Please note, no emails or notifications are sent when new consignments are added to the Database. We recommend checking the Consignments tab periodically for new submissions.
What if I notice spam or false information?
Please email us at support@liveauctioneers.com. We’ll investigate and remove any malicious or misleading entries. Please note, deletion of a consignment cannot be undone.
How Users Submit Consignments
Users can submit items to the Consignment Database in several ways:
- The Consign an Item link at the bottom of every LiveAuctioneers page.
- Targeted consignment ads based on collector search terms (Contact your account manager if you're interested in ad placement.)
- By completing the Consignment Form here.
- Using the Consign Item link in a seller’s profile.
- Using the Sell a similar item button on the lot detail page of any sold lot.
Each submission must include at least one photo (up to five), as images are essential for assessing value.
Selling Consignments
LiveAuctioneers does not handle shipping, contracts, or invoicing for consignments. All arrangements are managed privately between the auction house and the seller/consignor.
Pick-ups, Drop-offs, and Shipping
This planning is arranged directly between the auction house and the consignor. Depending on the agreement, the consignor either ships the item or delivers it in person. Once received, the auction house photographs, describes, and adds the item(s) to their catalog.
Invoicing
Consignment invoicing and management must be handled by the auction house outside of LiveAuctioneers.
